Result: Australia defeated Wales 32-8

Key statistic: Australia enjoyed 79 per cent territory and 68 per cent possession in a dominant first half. The result was that every statistic was firmly in Australia's favour - including linebreaks, which they led nine to zero after the opening 40 minutes.

Man of the match: Bernard Foley had his best game since last year's World Cup, and was involved in everything in a terrific display. In addition to a well-earned try in the second half, Foley had the backline humming with deft inside passes and clever midfield chip kicks which kept Wales guessing all match.

Quote: "If they play as well as they did in that first half, of course" Wales coach Rob Howley believes the grand slam could be within Australia's reach.

Injuries: David Pocock will undergo tests during the week after being forced from the field at halftime with concussion.

What's next for Wallabies? The team will jump on a flight to Edinburgh on Sunday and get ready for another stern test: Scotland at Murrayfield.
