Two motorcyclists and one motorist are dead after separate crashes in Queensland.

A 23-year-old man died after the car he was driving collided with a horse float at Beaudesert early on Monday.

The man was trapped in the car after the head on collision and died at the scene.

The driver of the truck hauling the horse float wasn't injured, and there were no horses onboard at the time.

Meanwhile, a rider died when his motorbike hit a station wagon and veered off the road and into a parked police car at Mount Mellum about 1.30pm on Sunday.

Officers fought to save the 66-year-old man but he died at the scene.

About an hour later another motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries when he clipped a guide post and was thrown from his bike at Amamoor, near Gympie.

The 31-year-old was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating all three crashes.
