Three killed on NSW roads in 24 hours

A 76-year-old woman is dead after after the motorhome she was in left the road in central western NSW and rolled.

The RV was being driven by her 78-year-old partner when it crashed on the Newell Highway near Coonabarabran on Thursday afternoon.

Police say it's been a horror 24 hours on the state's roads, with three people killed and several injured, including a five-year-old Sydney boy hit by his mother in a driveway.

The child sustained abdominal injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

Also about 4pm on Thursday, a 32-year-old woman was killed when her scooter collided with a 4WD hauling a trailer at Coutts Crossing, northwest of Coffs Harbour.

Hours later a 56-year-old man was fatally struck by a car driven by an elderly woman in Sydney's northwest.
