SPC Ardmona will continue supplying Woolworths with fruit for its homebrand products for the next three years.

The Shepparton fruit supplier and supermarket giant struck a deal on Friday evening until 2019.

The agreement equates to about nine million cans of fruit.

Woolworths last week dumped a separate tomato contract with SPC, casting doubt on whether it would stick with the company.

Victorian Agriculture Minister Jaala Pulford visited SPC Ardmona's factory on Friday and said the agreement was great news for a business that was a source of employment for a couple of thousand people.
