Tow truck driver dies in WA hwy crash

A 42-year-old tow truck driver has died in a crash south of Perth after crashing through a barrier into a culvert of water.

He lost control of the truck, which was towing two cylindrical tankers, about 3am on Sunday on the Kwinana Freeway near Stake Hill.

The number of people killed on WA's roads so far this year is now 159, nearing the 161 killed for all of 2015.

At this time last year, 133 people had died on WA roads.
