A tradie is thought to have fallen 10 metres from scaffolding at a work site in Sydney's west.

The man, aged in his 20s, was treated for chest and lower leg pain after falling from a significant height in Meadowbank on Friday morning, emergency services say.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital and SafeWork NSW is investigating.
