Two NSW men have been injured in a light plane crash at Port Pirie, north of Adelaide.

The 62-year-old pilot and his 70-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries when their single-engined Vans RV7 two-seater aircraft left the runway and flipped while landing at the Port Pirie airfield just before midday on Tuesday.

Police say the two men were taken to the Port Pirie Hospital and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating the crash.
