Two more charged over Qld shooting spree

Two more people have been charged over an alleged crime spree involving carjackings and cars being fired upon in south east Queensland last week.

A 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested in Collingwood Park, south of Brisbane, on Monday night and both are due to face Southport Magistrates Court on September 12.

Police say the pair were involved in an incident on Thursday night when two shots were fired at a car on the Pacific Motorway at Coomera. Both have been charged with with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of discharging a firearm.

Ben Andrew Goring, 24, was arrested in dramatic fashion in the Gold Coast hinterland late on Sunday and appeared in court on Monday on a string of charges including attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and robbery.
