Two motorcyclists have died in separate Queensland crashes within hours of one another.

A 59-year-old man, who was riding in Coopers Plains, in Brisbane's south, collided with a car about midday on Sunday.

Police said he died at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Just before 7am, another motorcyclist travelling on the Logan Motorway in nearby Kingston lost control of the bike and hit a guardrail.

Police said the local man, believed to be aged in his 40s, also died at the scene.

A forensic crash investigation has been launched into each incident.
