A Queensland cop has been stood down from duty after allegedly driving drunk, obstructing police and attempting to interfere with a police investigation.

The 46-year-old sergeant from the Road Police Command, who has been tasked with non-operational duties, is also accused of conducting unauthorised searches on the police computer system.

A 40-year-old sergeant from the state's southeast has also been stood down from duty for allegedly conducting unauthorised searches on the police computer system and is due to face court next year on one count of computer hacking.
