Government departments, environmentalists and the minerals industry will have their say on a deal to allow Australia to sell uranium to Ukraine for use in its nuclear power plants.

A parliamentary treaties committee has scheduled a hearing in Canberra on Monday as part of its inquiry into the agreement.

"We want to ensure that there is no danger of our uranium being misused for nuclear weapons or military purposes," Liberal MP and committee chair Stuart Robert said in a statement on Thursday.
