A teenager is the latest to be charged with hosting a party at a vacant house in Perth and for using the electricity to power his DJ equipment.

The 18-year-old has been charged with burglary and fraudulently appropriating power for the party that 80 people attended last Saturday and will appear at Perth Magistrates Court on September 27.

Perth has seen a spate of empty properties targeted for house parties.

A 15-year-old boy was charged in August for a party he held at a vacant property which ended with a fire and damages of $150,000.

An 18-year-old woman and 17-year-old boy were also charged in August for two parties they organised at vacant houses.

Police allege they ran a "business" where they charged people to attend large house parties, often without the knowledge of the property owner.
