A Victorian BMX rider has admitted "shocking" child sex crimes that date back almost a decade.

Fabian Roy Meharry pleaded guilty to 193 charges in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday, including rape, committing indecent acts and making child pornography movies.

Many of the charges relate to the sexual abuse of girls aged 16 and under, including multiple counts of sexual penetration.

Court documents reveal Meharry, of Echuca, procured sex between a brother and sister, and witnessed children perform sex acts with dogs.

Meharry, who is known in the local BMX scene, regularly used the internet to groom and procure girls for sexual activity.

The 27-year-old committed his crimes from 2007-2015, in regional Victoria and Melbourne.

Magistrate Belinda Wallington said much of the evidence against Meharry was "shocking".

But he deserved some credit for pleading guilty, because it meant a large number of young victims wouldn't have to testify at trial, she said.

Meharry, a registered sex offender, has been remanded in custody.

He is due to face the Victorian County Court on December 6.
