Vic crims could face indefinite jail time

Victoria's most violent criminals could face indefinite jail time or tougher reporting and tracking conditions in a justice system crackdown.

Special court orders will be sought to keep criminals who continuously reoffend in a new facility or subject them to measures including wearing ankle bracelets under the reforms, News Corp reports.

The changes are part of the state government's pledge to accept all 35 recommendations of the Harper Review, which was prompted by the brutal stabbing murder of Melbourne teen Masa Vukotic by Sean Price in 2015.
