A former stripper will face a committal hearing next year accused of murdering the man she was going to marry before he disappeared 11 years ago.

Robyn Lindholm is accused of killing her fiance George Templeton, 38, who was last seen on May 2, 2005, when he disappeared from the Reservoir home he shared with the one-time exotic dancer and his teenage son.

Police allege Lindholm murdered Mr Templeton, whose body has not been found, between May 2 and May 3, 2005.

Lindholm, 43, appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday via video link charged with the murder.

Defence counsel plan to cross-examine 23 witnesses during a committal hearing in 2017 which will determine if Lindholm should stand trial.
