A Victorian woman has been found guilty of murdering her housemate by stabbing her to death during a fight over $50 of drug money.

A Victorian Supreme Court jury on Friday found Alicia Schiller murdered Tyrelle Evertsen-Mostert at the house they shared in Norlane in 2014.

Schiller repeatedly stabbed Ms Evertsen-Mostert to punish her for stealing the $50, the trial was told.

The prosecution said Schiller had been drinking and talking angrily about her missing money before attacking Ms Evertsen-Mostert.

Schiller had planned to confront Ms Evertsen-Mostert with a knife before going on to stab her several times.

The knife used to stab the mother-of-three was presented as evidence at Schiller's trial in November.

The jury asked to see the murder weapon on Friday before delivering their verdict on Friday afternoon.
