A West Australian government review of the state's readiness for bushfires in the upcoming season will finish by hearing from the police and local councils.

The deputy police commissioner Gary Dreibergs, WA police personnel and representatives of the WA Local Government Association will speak to the Community Development and Justice Standing Committee in Perth on Wednesday as the final part of a review into the state's preparations for bushfire season.

The review wraps up as fires that threatened homes in the shire of Denmark on Tuesday where brought under control overnight and have now been downgraded to advice level, meaning no homes were under threat from the blaze.

Similarly an accidentally sparked bushfire that was threatening lives and homes in the state's Great Southern region has also been contained and controlled.

The blaze in Hopetoun triggered an emergency warning on Tuesday morning but has since been downgraded to advice.
