Wallabies playmaker Quade Cooper will return to the boxing ring for his third professional fight on the undercard of the Anthony Mundine-Danny Green rematch.

Cooper's opponent will be announced next week for the February 3 bout at Adelaide Oval.

Middleweight prospect Tim Tszyu, who is the son of Australian boxing great Kostya Tszyu, will also be on the undercard, squaring off in his second professional fight against local Mark Dalby.

"This is a big step up for me but I'm excited about the opportunity to fight in front of so many people at one of the most iconic venues in Australian sport" Tszyu said.

"I've been working hard on increasing my power since turning pro and hopefully I can put on a good show."

Tszyu made a successful start to his professional career with a six-round unanimous points decision over Queenslander Zorran Cassady in December at the SCG.

Cooper hasn't fought since scoring a fourth-round technical knockout over Warren Tresidder in 2014 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

A year earlier, the Queensland Reds' five-eighth knocked out Barry Dunnett in the first round of his boxing debut in Brisbane.
