Former Australian spin star Shane Warne and one of his television commentary peers are copping a bagging on social media for a video showing them travelling in a van through Hobart during the recent Test match without seatbelts.

The three-minute clip starts with Warne, and pans to fellow former Test teammate Michael Slater, both of whom are not wearing seatbelts.

"Seat belts boys please - seat belts save lives," commented Nick Thornton of the clip.

But after a couple of minutes the duo realise their mistake and buckle up.

Fellow passengers including one-time England batsman Kevin Pietersen and former Australian keeper Ian Healy had their belts fastened, as did driver and former Aussie skipper Mark Taylor.

Tasmania Police are aware of the video.
