Windy afternoon could worsen SA ash area

Strong winds could again stir up ash from a closed coal-fired power station in South Australia's Port Augusta.

The Environmental Protection Authority says the winds are likely to cause another dust event in the city on Wednesday afternoon and is reminding locals to stay inside with doors and windows closed where possible.

The ash is a by-product of the Northern Power Station, which was closed by Flinders Power last May, and has recently been whipped up from a dam at the site.
