A 30-year-old woman is due to appear in court after allegedly kicking, biting and spitting on police officers in central Queensland.

The Koongal woman is accused of assaulting six officers after she was arrested on Tuesday in Rockhampton for stealing a car.

She allegedly began kicking the window of the police vehicle before booting a female constable in the chest.

She then spat at two other officers and battered them on the arm, police say.

After being taken to Rockhampton Watch House she allegedly bit a policeman on the arm, spat in the face of a female officer and scratched another on the chest.

She is accused of spitting in the face of the constable she had attacked earlier after being transferred to Rockhampton Base Hospital.

The woman is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday facing an array of charges including assaulting a police officer, damaging police property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

All officers involved in the attack were given medical treatment.
