A woman is accused of drink-driving at more than 55km/h over the limit while she had three small children in her car.

Police say they clocked the 32-year-old driving 135km/h in an 80km/h zone on Ellalong Road, Ellalong, near Cessnock in the NSW Hunter.

It's alleged she blew a positive breath test, and a blood alcohol test later recorded a reading of 0.097.

Police say the woman had three children, aged five, seven and seven, in the car at the time.

She was charged with mid-range PCA and exceeding the speed limit by over 45 km/h. She's due to face Cessnock Local Court on December 21.

Police say Family and Community Services have been notified.
