A woman has been charged after she allegedly pinned a man with a car during a domestic violence incident in NSW's Southern Tablelands.

Police say a 64-year-old man was walking along Valley Walk, Goulburn, when he was hit by a car and pinned against a fence around 7:30pm on Christmas Day.

The 52-year-old woman then allegedly exited the car and assaulted the man, before returning to the car and trying to drive it again.

A bystander intervened and managed to take the keys from the ignition, police say.

The man was airlifted to Canberra Hospital after being freed from under the car.

On Tuesday the woman was charged with wounding person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, contravening a domestic violence order and malicious damage.
