Woman flung from bonnet, left to bleed

A woman has been left bleeding on the road after being flung from the bonnet of a car after an argument with a man.

The pair, both 33, were arguing at a home in Bourke Street, Parramatta on Monday night when the man got behind the wheel of a Holden Commodore.

The woman climbed on the car's bonnet and the man allegedly accelerated before slamming on the brakes.

The woman hit her head on the road and the man fled.

She is receiving treatment at Westmead Hospital for serious head and facial injuries.

The man was charged with causing grevious bodily harm and two driving offences.

He was refused bail and will face court in Parramatta on Wednesday.
