Woman trampled by cow in western NSW

A woman has been airlifted to a Sydney hospital with serious injuries after being trampled by a cow in rural NSW.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was trampled by a cow near Trundle, northwest of Parkes, leaving her with traumatic abrasions to her face and chest, and injuries to her pelvic, hip and abdominal areas, NSW Ambulance says.

The incident occurred about 9pm on Wednesday and the woman was flown by helicopter to Westmead Hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
