Two Brisbane security guards have been captured throwing a young man to the ground during a serious run-in at the popular South Bank parklands.

A video, which was uploaded to Facebook on Saturday, shows a man in a black t-shirt taunting the two guards and arguing about an earlier spitting incident.

"You're going to lost your job over this, you dog," the young man says.

"Mate you spat on him," one of the guards replies.

The arguing continues before one of the guards grabs the man by the neck and sweeps his legs, causing him to fall backwards.

"Stay down c***," they tell him.

During a subsequent scuffle, the man's shirt is ripped and he is pushed away, again falling backwards onto the pavement.

"What are you doing buddy?" the man behind the camera says.

"I've got it on camera, bro."

In response to the young man's ongoing taunts, one of the guards replies: "Why are you being a bitch mate, come on."

The man throws his shirt at the two guards before his friends urge him to leave.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police did not attend the incident.

The man who posted the video claimed on Facebook that the trouble began when his friend was asked to leave the pool area.

He admitted his friend spat on the ground but alleged one of the guards then chased him and slapped him.

South Bank Corporation, which is believed to be the guards' employer, has been contacted for comment.
