Last year, Little Mix released 'Shout Out To My Ex' as the debut single from their third album Glory Days , and speculation was rife about whether the lyrics were about Perrie Edwards's ex-fiancé Zayn Malik.

And whilst Little Mix never confirmed the lyrics were indeed about the ex-One Direction singer, his cousin Sasha Malik has taken to Twitter three months later to state they actually are - but that that doesn't change how much she likes the song.

Earlier this week, Sasha received some backlash on Twitter when she tweeted some lyrics from the song 'Shout Out To My Ex', before quickly deleting them, and instead tweeting to insist she meant no shade.

She wrote: "apologies to those genuinely offended by my tweet. I understand that it was easily misunderstood. no shade though, ever. However, I will not hate on a person for having a past with a relative of mine. both of them have now moved on. the world should too.

"The fact that the song is about Zayn doesn't cross my mind when I listen to it. To me, it's just a song [sic]".

The lyrics in the Little Mix song that fans believe are about Zayn Malik, who Perrie confirmed dumped her by text, include: "took four long years to call it quits", "Guess I should say thank you, For the 'hate yous' and the tattoos, Oh baby I'm cool by the way, Ain't sure I loved you anyway", and "I hope she gettin' better sexHope she ain't fakin' it like I did."

So if you were in need of any more confirmation, Sasha's got you covered.
