Netizens send messages of comfort to ‘It’s Showtime’ host Karylle amid allegations that she is being disrespected on the show

Viewers of the Kapamilya noontime show, ‘It’s Showtime’, and netizens recently expressed their love and concern for the show’s hosts, Vice Ganda and Karylle. Jose Marie Borja Viceral, popularly referred to as Vice Ganda, is a Filipino comedian and talk show host. Ana Karylle Padilla Tatlonghari, known in the movie industry simply as Karylle is a Filipino singer, actress, TV host, and musical theatre performer.

Recently, Karylle and Vice Ganda have been the subject of significant online discussion, with many claiming Vice Ganda repeatedly disrespected her.

@eiaevia, who is one of Karylle’s fans, tweeted a clip, where the TV host-actress was allegedly confronted verbally, in a disrespectful manner, by Vice Ganda. As shown in the clip, the two hosts banter about the karaoke track that was supposed to be sung by returning host, Vhong Navarro. “Ate Karylle,” she tweeted, attaching a “teary-eyed” emoji.

A tweet like this inevitably attracts the attention of netizens, who mostly express their comfort for Karylle, while others criticize Vice for allegedly exploiting her generosity.

“Aww. Naawa na talaga ako kay K. Sana naman bigyan na ng ibang show si K. Simula ng lumipat sya di na nagkaron,” said Lyn who wishes Karylle to have another show. Karylle’s last TV drama, where she played a major role, was notably the 2010 series ‘Dahil May Isang Ikaw’. She had several cameo and minor roles in various acting and hosting projects in the years that followed.

Some netizens, however, see nothing wrong with Vice Ganda and Karylle’s relationship, pleading not to make an issue out of the clip that became viral.

It is also worth noting that Vice Ganda immediately acknowledged his fault and promised to be better.

“Oh so i am being called out. Yes i acknowledge sablay ako dun. Potah sablay again. Bawi po ako. Bawi right away,” the comedian-host tweeted, admitting he was at fault.

As of this writing, Karylle has not published her piece about the issue.
