Customers of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) may expect lower electricity rates as the power utility intends to implement a rollback this December, a report by Tina Panganiban-Perez on GMA News’ “Balitanghali” said on Thursday.

‘yung tinatawag na Wholesale Electricity Spot Market,“ Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said.

Lower electricity rates can also be expected in January and February as only few power plants experienced outages.

“January normally shows lower adjustments as far as power costs are concerned dahil doon sa annual reconciliation ng outage allowances,” Zaldarriaga noted.
