Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon on Wednesday urged those who ran in the midterm elections, especially those who won, to collect their campaign trashes such as posters and fliers.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) already made the same call on Tuesday, with Secretary Eduardo Año saying that all barangay captains, mayors and governors should lead in the cleanup drive.

As of May 14, at least 145.42 tons of campaign materials have been collected in Metro Manila. — MDM, GMA News
