President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday said he will file multiple syndicated estafa charges against television network ABS-CBN, which he has accused of failing to air his campaign ad in last year.

Duterte said the charges would be a black mark for the network when its congressional broadcast franchise comes up for renewal.

"Ngayong franchise ninyo, kumpiyansa kayo kasi ang franchise renewable this year. If you are in operation for 25 years, maganda ng record mo, no need for another franchise. But I'm telling you now, I will be filing charges of multiple syndicated estafa," said Duterte, who had previously threatened to block the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise that expires in 2020.

"Kawalaang hiyaan. Baga mo ug nawong. Ang kakapal ng mukha ninyo. P-- ina kayo. L--. Kayo pa ang mayayaman, kami pa iyong mga pobreng pulitiko ang sasalsalin kayo," he added.

GMA News Online has sought out the side of ABS-CBN in the matter.

In his latest tirade, Duterte directly addressed ABS-CBN Corporation Chairman Gabby Lopez.

"Gabby Lopez, I paid ABS-CBN P2,800,000. I was able to gather money in the last weeks of my candidacy, noong tumaas na ang rating ko... Tinanggap ninyo ang pera ko. You never bothered to show my propaganda," he said, adding that the network also did the same for the campaigns of Roman Romulo, Alan Peter Cayetano, and Chiz Escudero.

"Pagkatapos ng election, kinalimutan ninyo eh. Hindi man lang ninyo sinauli ang pera. You did it to me, kay Romulo, kay Cayetano, kay Chiz Escudero, at marami pa," Duterte added.

The President also lashed out at media companies including the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

"Press freedom? Press freedom, kayo ang number on magnanakaw. Ayaw isauli ang propriedad. Press freedom? Kami? How about our freedom? We have our freedom of expression to express our anger. And that's my ultimate constitutional right," he said.

"You? You're bullshit. Mukha kayong pera. Ang kakapal ng mukha n'yo, kayong taga-media. You want my sentiments? F-- you," he said, raised his middle finger, and ended his speech. —JST, GMA News
