The operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1) were halted for around 10 minutes on Wednesday evening for safety.

In a Twitter post, the LRT1 management said that a "stop for safety" has been implemented at 6:20 pm from Baclaran to Roosevelt stations.

The LRT1 resumed its normal operations at 6:40 p.m.

Two hours before the "stop for safety" was implemented, the LRT1 management announced that it will implement crowd control policy from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. everyday.

This would mean limiting the number of passengers allowed to occupy the platform of respective LRT1 stations, except for priority passengers such as senior citizens, Persons With Disabilities, pregnant passengers, and those with children in tow. — Lannesca T. Panti/MDM, GMA News
