PNP implements reorganization following retirement of 2nd highest ranking official

The Philippine National Police implemented a reorganization following the retirement of its second highest ranking official over the weekend.

PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa said Monday that Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario is now the PNP’s deputy chief for administration following the retirement of Deputy Director General Francisco Uyami on March 19.

A retirement ceremony was accorded to Uyami on Friday.

Director Fernando Mendez is now the deputy chief for operations, a post vacated by Apolinario.

Replacing Mendez as the chief of Directorate for Administration is Director Archie Gamboa.

The new Directorate for Comptrollership head is Director Ramon Purugganan while Director Rene Aspera is the head of Directorate for Personnel and Records Management. 

Appointed as the new head of Police Security and Protection Group is Chief Supt. Joel Garcia who was the deputy chief of DPRM. —KG, GMA News
