Draymond Green says it’s BS that Klay Thompson didn’t make an All-NBA team.

(Warning: Strong language)

Golden State Warriors teammates Kevin Durant and Steph Curry were second-team selections while Green was a third-teamer. Green says Thompson, who averaged a career-high 22.3 points and made a team-best 41.4 percent of his threes, didn’t get the credit he deserved for helping the Warriors win a league-leading 67 games.

“It’s pretty crazy. It’s some guys on there as scorers averaging 20 points, and don’t have as near an amount of wins as we have,” Green told reporters Thursday. “So how he can be left out, I don’t really understand it. You know, also the way Klay can defend. You know, I don’t understand it. But I guess they gotta find some way to punish us.”

Said Curry: “He definitely deserved to be on one of those teams.”

Durant had a beef, too: that he wasn’t a first-teamer.

“So many guys played well this year. Just grateful to be a part of the list. Obviously I feel like I should be a first-team player, but it is what it is,” he told reporters.

Making an All-NBA team would’ve made Thompson eligible to sign a Designated Player Veteran Extension, worth $217 million over five years, in 2018. Now he’ll have to make an All-NBA team next season to do so (while Curry is eligible to sign one this summer).
