Travelers in Canada as well as those in the Los Angeles area who are looking to get to the Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane can now book their tickets through Canada-based WestJet. WestJet has just announced its expanded codeshare partnership with Qantas Airways, Australia's flag carrier. As a matter of fact, Qantas Airways offers the most number of direct flights between North America and Australia than any other carrier.

With the deepened relationship between the two carriers, WestJet will place its WS code and flight numbers on Qantas-operated flights between Los Angeles and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

WestJet's WS code will be added on to Qantas Airways' daily flights connecting Los Angeles and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as the Australian carrier's seasonal service between Vancouver and Sydney.

Travel itineraries that connect the growing WestJet network to these destinations Down Under are already made available for purchase through all WestJet sales channels for travel taking place on December 6, 2018 and beyond.

For those who do not already know, WestJet offers travelers flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver to Los Angeles. The expanded codeshare agreement gives travelers from Canada easy access as well as more options to visit Australia than ever before.

What's more, Qantas Airways operates a robust network across Australia and New Zealand. Travelers from North America can further connect to more than 60 destinations across Australia and New Zealand through Qantas Airways. Besides letting Qantas Frequent Flyer and WestJet Rewards members earn and redeem loyalty rewards, passengers will continue to enjoy convenient one-stop check-in and baggage transfers to their final destination.
