The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan continues to affect Luzon and Visayas, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

Cagayan Valley will likely experience cloudy skies with light rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated drizzles are also expected over the rest of Luzon, Metro Manila, and Visayas.

Mindanao, on the other hand, may only have isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau is still monitoring a low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

As of 3 p.m., it was located 2,720 kilometers east of Mindanao.

It is expected to enter the PAR on Friday or Saturday and may develop into a tropical depression.

If that happens, it will be named Amang, the first tropical depression to enter the country this year.—Dona Magsino/ LDF, GMA News
