LPA spotted over Borongan, Samar

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated early Saturday morning at 200 kilometers north northeast of Borongan City, eastern Samar, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

A the ridge of a High Pressure Area (HPA), meanwhile, will be affecting northern Luzon.

The state weather bureau reported that Typhoon Jebi, which remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is 1,945 kilometers east of Aprarri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 255 kph moving in the west northwest direction at 25 kph.

The trough of the LPA will affect Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol REgion, MIMAROPA, and the Visayas. These areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms. — BAP, GMA News
