Thursday morning in Metro Manila has been the coldest so far this Amihan season, according to a weather report by GMA's resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz on 24 Oras.

The temperature in the busy metropolitan area dropped to 19 degrees Celsius at 7:50 a.m.

A cold morning also awaits Metro Manila on the last day of the workweek with temperatures expected to reach 20°C to 21°C early Friday. Partly cloudy skies are likely, with low chances of rain.

Meanwhile, Cagayan, Cordillera, Aurora, and Quezon may expect a rainy Friday while the rest of Luzon will experience fair weather.

Drizzles in Eastern Samar and Negros Island in the morning are also likely.

Rain in the afternoon, on the other hand, is expected in Caraga and Northern Mindanao.

Due to Amihan's surge, PAGASA raised a gale warning for the seaboards of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Cagayan province. Small seacraft are urged not to venture out as waters may get rough. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
