Metro Manila, Central Luzon, the Calabarzon Region, the Bicol Region, the Mimaropa Region, the Western Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, and the ARMM would experience cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon, PAGASA predicted in a Tuesday morning forecast.

The rest of the country could meanwhile expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions accompanied with isolated rainshowers.

Winds would be moderate to strong from the southwest to west over Luzon and the Visayas, where coastal waters would be moderate to rough.

Over Mindanao, winds would be moderate from the southwest to west with moderate sea conditions over the surrounding seas.

PAGASA also reported that the Typhoon Jebi (formerly Typhoon Maymay) continued to move away from the Philippine Area of Responsibility, making its way north at 25 kilometers per hour.

Jebi was 1,575 kilometers northeast of  extreme northern Luzon, and had 160 kph winds which could gust up to 195 kph. — DVM, GMA News
