An astonishing Dandelion Yellow McLaren F1 with just 148 delivery miles on the clock is up for sale.

Kept in original factory condition since 1997, the car is so intact that the original wraps are still on the seats and steering wheel, and the car has never actually been registered.

The car comes complete with all the original parts including a luggage set, spare steering wheel, special Tag Heuer watch with the car's chassis number imprinted on the face, and even a trolley containing gold-plated titanium tools.

Another rarity is that Gordon Murray has personally signed this car at the rear right-hand side.

The colour scheme was optioned by the original owner and stretched to the interior too with black and yellow leather seats.

The McLaren F1 was possibly Gordon Murray's finest creations and comes with a BMW-derived V12 engine that produces an eye-watering 627bhp. At the time of its released it was the fastest production car in the world with a top speed of 243mph.

The Tom Hartley Junior dealership is currently selling this one. The price is not known, as it is a price on application only. However, the Daily Express speculates the car could fetch as much as £12 million.

The dealership said: "Without doubt this is one of the most important road cars ever to be offered for sale and if preserved is highly likely to be the most valuable road car in the world in years to come."
