The world's best-selling cars in 2017 revealed

Motoring Research Logo By Gavin Braithwaite-Smith of Motoring Research | Slide 1 of 26: If you’re hoping to stand out from the crowd, these aren’t the cars for you. Using data supplied by JATO Dynamics, we can reveal the world’s best-selling cars of 2017, which we’ll present in reverse order. The Toyota Corolla led the way in 2016… can it keep its crown in 2017? For a bit of context, it is expected that around 80 million new cars will have been sold globally through 2017 (just over 17 million were sold in the U.S., and 15 million in Europe). And the 25 cars here? Each sold a minimum of almost half a million units… there’s a huge amount of global choice for new cars, but the list of autos that sell in high numbers is rather smaller.
