Nicole, who was accompanied by rapper Stormzy to whittle six acts down to three, battled through the pain but it finally became too much and she suffered the 'frightening experience'.

Filming was brought to a halt for up to four hours while Nicole was seen to by medics.

It is believed that the singer suffered from severe tonsilitis after feeling great pain in her throat.

Battling through the pain, brave Nicole returned to the hotel to finish the day's filming.

She had to get confirmation from doctors that she was able to leave the hotel because she had a UNICEF trip the following day.

Nicole didn't let her medical drama take over her trip to South Africa, where she had some tough decisions to make.

With the help of Stormzy, she selected her three acts for live shows and had fun on a safari trip.
