ACTRESS Rita Rudaini (pic) has made a police report after her pedigree cat went missing, Kosmo! reported.

She fears the British Shorthair, named Pekan, may have been sold by those who took it.

Rita, 42, lodged the report at the Semenyih police station last Saturday.

On her Instagram account, Rita said the male cat was loaned to a couple in Bandar Baru Semenyih for breeding on Jan 1 but they later claimed it had escaped from his cage.

The Mami Jarum actress however was not convinced with the explanation as the couple refused to help Rita look for Pekan.

“I will do whatever it takes if it is proven that there is a breach of trust and dishonesty.

“If there is a syndicate selling such cats, I will seek justice for other cats too,” she wrote.

Rita also urged anyone who could have accidentally taken or bought her cat to return it.

She promised that no action will be taken unless they are accomplices of the couple.

“Please return Pekan. I am willing to forgive those who accidentally took Pekan,” she said.

British Shorthairs cost between RM2,000 and RM4,000.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff confirmed police received Rita’s report.
