KUALA LUMPUR: BTS’ music video to its new K-Pop tune, Boy With Luv, had apparently garnered a total of 74.6 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Guinness World Records.

Soompi reported yesterday that the famous American records listing entity also revealed that the music video to the catchy hit song had been crowned the “most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours”.

The Guinness World Records article added that the music video, which was uploaded to YouTube on April 12, had garnered two other titles as well — the “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours,” and the “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-Pop group.”

Boy With Luv, the lead single from BTS’ sixth EP, Map Of The Soul: Persona, has enjoyed great success so far having dominated multiple music charts in Korea as well as around the world.

Meanwhile, BTS also came up tops in a recent survey conducted by Korean media outlet Sports Seoul.

The survey gathered the thoughts of 100 Korean entertainment industry experts on who the key players in show business were.

BTS was voted the top K-Pop representative of Hallyu, followed by Exo, Twice, BlackPink and BigBang respectively. In the category for top production executives representing K-Pop, the No. 1 spot went to Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Shi Hyuk who is responsible for BTS.

Big Hit came in third place though in the top agencies representing K-Pop category.

The top spot went to SM Entertainment which has a long list of artistes under it including Exo, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, Shinee and Red Velvet.

BTS’ little brother group, TXT, also came in third in the key players in K-Pop representing the new generation of Hallyu category, with Itzy and BlackPink at the first and second spot respectively.
