KUALA LUMPUR: Ahead of BlackPink’s debut at Coachella 2019 music festival this coming April, the hot K-Pop quartet is set to mark its first foray onto American broadcast TV by appearing as a musical guest on two separate shows next week.

It was reported that the group, consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Rose and Lisa, would appear on CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Feb 11, followed by a performance in Times Square, New York City on Feb 12, for ABC’s Good Morning America.

Good Morning America confirmed the exciting news with a tweet that read: “Next Tuesday @blackpink performs LIVE in studio in Times Square for their American morning show debut! ARE. YOU. READY?!”

The K-Pop outfit’s debut on the American talk shows follows in the footsteps of another huge South Korean music sensation, the seven-member boy band BTS, which achieved huge success after it broke into the American market last year.

BlackPink’ s popularity have grown massively around the world, thanks to its hit tunes like Ddu-Ddu-Ddu as well as Kiss And Make Up, which saw the group collaborating with British pop star, Dua Lipa.

The girls are also set to perform in Kuala Lumpur this coming Feb 23 and 24, at Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam.
