Muslim-owned yakiniku stall at Tai Seng & Sembawang coffee shops offers meats from S$6

In case a trip to Japan is a little too costly, however, here's a taste of Japan that is more affordable.

Muslim-owned yakiniku

Ryo Yakiniku is a Japanese barbeque eatery in Singapore.

The Muslim-owned eatery currently has two locations at coffee shops in Tai Seng and Sembawang.

Ryo Yakiniku offers various cuts of marinated meats ranging from S$6 to S$16.

Here's what they have on the menu:

  • Prime karubi (short ribs)
  • Karubi (short plate)
  • USDA Angus striploin
  • Gyutan (beef tongue)
  • Kata rosu (closest cut from the neck)
  • Lamb shoulder
  • Chicken cubes
  • Wagyu

There is also the mushroom platter (S$6) and the vegetable platter (S$5).

Those looking to try a bit of everything can opt for the deluxe set (S$40), which includes the karubi, prime karubi, gyutan, sliced chicken, mushroom platter, onsen eggs and rice.

Sides from S$6

While waiting for the meat to be barbequed, diners can also get finger food like gyoza (S$8) and seaweed fries (S$6).

Recently, the eatery began offering salmon belly skewers for S$8 per 200 grams.
