Deaf Man Signs to His Newborn Deaf Daughter

Baby Arrow was born a “micro preemie” on November 23, 2018, in the NICU of a hospital in Orlando, Florida, where doctors confirmed she is deaf. Her father, being deaf himself, used American Sign Language to lovingly communicate with her as soon as he could. “ASL is vital for deaf babies and, lucky for our little squish, she was born deaf into a home where ASL is the primary language. She won’t have the struggles to communicate within her own family as her Daddy did,” said mom Teresa. Credit: Teresa Justice via Storyful
