Singapore’s average internet speed surged 24% in Q2

Average connection speed is now over 10 Mbps.

The republic's Internet connection speed finally crossed the "high broadband" threshold in the second quarter, after registering an impressive 24% quarterly increase.

According to Akamai's State of the Internet report, Singapore has the fourth-fastest internet speed in the Asia Pacific region, ranked behind South Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Singapore's average internet speed reached 10.4 Mbps in Q2. The island's internet speed is world's 21st fastest.The country's peak internet speed 64.9 Mbps in Q2, representing a 42% quarterly increase.
