KUALA LUMPUR: A man, suspecting his wife of having an affair, yanked her eyelashes during a fight at their home in Sungai Besi, last month.

The 27-year-old woman, who only wished to be known as Lily, said she sustained injuries to her face and hand in the 4am incident, which took place on Feb 16.

Lily said she just returned from a karaoke night out with her colleagues when her husband attacked her.

She said the incident occurred last month, but she only lodged a police report on March 3 as she feared for her safety.

She said she also lodged the report as part of her divorce process. It is learnt that the husband filed for divorce, with the trial fixed for March 20.

“My husband likes to get the police involved. I don’t like to make it an issue as I hope we can resolve the matter peacefully,” she said.

Lily said that during the fight, her husband pressed her head with his palm, and injured her wrist and nose.

“He did not hit me hard, which is why I only injured my wrist and had a bloody nose.

“He still loves me. But his controlling attitude is stifling me, which led to the divorce. I had wanted to file for a divorce since last year,” she said.

Lily said she no longer lives with her husband.
