There’s nothing like a good bedtime story to calm little ones down before going to sleep each night.

And it seems it’s the same for the British royal family as Prince William has just revealed which one he reads to his two eldest children before bed.

If you’ve got kids, you probably know it well – it’s The Gruffalo!

The 36-year-old made the admission when he met the book’s author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler at a Tusk Trust event in London.

People reports that Donaldson and Scheffler decorated one of 21 model rhinos with characters from their book, The Ugly Five, as part of a project to raise awareness of the threat facing rhino populations at the hands of poachers.

The father-of-three said the book, which was first published in 1999, was a ‘huge hit in our household’.

And with over 13 million copies sold worldwide, it’s not just the royal family that are fans of the tale of the cunning mouse who meets a host of dangerous creatures in the woods.

We’d love to be a fly on the wall to see George and Charlotte’s faces as William puts on all the voices….
